Moving beyond the listing to the living experience.
You’ve seen the photos and watched the video tours. But architecture and design are meant to be experienced. Digs gives you the physical key to the spaces you’ve only ever seen on screen – allowing you to feel the scale, see the light, and hear the story in person.
Turning a universal curiosity into a shared cultural experience.
Universal Curiosity: We all wonder how others live. Digs provides a respectful, formal way to satisfy that curiosity.
New Perspectives: Seeing how someone else has solved a design problem or curated their life changes how you see your own home.
Human Connection: Meet the people behind the walls. Every home is an autobiography; get to know the author.
Hidden Gems: Our cities are full of remarkable places that usually disappear behind closed doors. We’re making them destinations.
Step 1: Discover. Explore private homes in Chicago, from historic restorations to modern architectural lofts.
Step 2: Request an Invitation. Select a time that works for you and the Curator. Because these are private homes, you aren’t just “booking”—you are requesting an invitation to visit.
Step 3: The Verified Visit. Once approved, you’ll receive the address. Show up for your 15–45 minute visit.
Step 4: Experience the Story. Your host will be there to greet you, share the “why” behind their design, and let you experience the space at your own pace.
Every “Dig” is vetted for architectural or design significance.
You are visiting a host who has been identity-verified, ensuring a safe and professional environment.
All transactions happen through the platform. No cash, no hassle.
To keep Digs sustainable and respectful for our Curators, every Explorer agrees to our community standards:
Small Groups Only: Visits are intimate (typically 1–4 people) to preserve the home’s atmosphere.
Respect the Sanctuary: Follow the host’s lead on “shoes-off” policies and off-limits zones.
Be a Guest, Not a Buyer: Digs is for cultural appreciation, not real estate transactions. Enjoy the design, leave the “market value” talk at the door.
We are currently building our “Living Archive” of Chicago homes.
